Returning Damaged Specimens

I am quite experienced in packing and shipping specimens. However, if you happen to receive a specimen that is damaged during shipping, please notify me immediately by e-mail and let me know the extent of the damage. Generally, I will ask you to ship the damaged specimen back to me.

If the damaged specimen is quite valuable, I will file an insurance claim with the Post Office where the parcel was originally shipped. Be sure to save the original box, all packing materials, the invoice, and the damaged specimen; these items must be returned to the U.S. Postal Service as part of the insurance claim process.

In either case, I will issue a refund or apply a credit to your account immediately, whichever you prefer.
