Anhydrite with Galena
Milliken Mine, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds County, Missouri

Neat and sharp pseudomorph consisting of brassy pyrite that has completely replaced an anhydrite crystal with a scattering of small, bright, metallic gray galena crystals that add a nice accent. Front and back views are shown. Very good example from the Trend! Size: 1.65 x 0.5 x 4.9 cm.

CB-1775 - Sphalerite on Dolomite
Gordonsville Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee

A superb cabinet-sized specimen featuring a bright, lustrous cluster of sphalerite crystals measuring 4.6 cm across perched on the end of a dolomite-coated matrix. No damage! Mounted on an acrylic stand for perfect display. Size: 5.2 x 3.5 x 8.0 cm.

CA-1114 - Sphalerite
Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee

Large mass of slightly translucent, red-brown, resinous sphalerite crystals 5.2 cm across perched on a sparkling tan dolomitic matrix. The sphalerite has good luster. Elmwood is now closed and specimens from there are becoming difficult to find. Size: 8.9 x 8.1 x 4.3 cm.

Attractive specimen of glassy, colorless, transparent, modified cubic crystals of fluorite on matrix. The crystals exhibit distinct purple phantoms. Nice! Size: 5.2 x 3.8 x 3.1 cm.

Nasik, Maharashtra, India

Basalt matrix hosting translucent, yellow botryoidal fluorite spheres surrounded by bright, starkly contrasting, colorless quartz crystals. The fluorite is colorful, pristine, uniform in color and free of cracks. True botryoidal fluorite is only known from a few other localities. From the find of 1999. Attractive! CB-1613 - Fluorite (with phantoms)
Okaruso Mine, Otjiwarongo, Namibia

Attractive cluster of translucent, cubic, green-purple fluorite crystals to 3.3 cm in length. Some of the crystals exhibit sharp phantoms as can be seen in the close-up photo. ES-140 - Heulandite with Stilbite
Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India

Very attractive bowtie of pearly, pale pink to colorless heulandite crystals measuring 5.4 cm in length nicely situated on matrix coated with drusy green quartz with tiny white stilbite crystals scattered over the drusy quartz. Can be displayed several ways. Size: 6.1 x 5.0 x 3.6 cm.

MA-1215 - Iowaite on Calcite
Palabora Mine, Phalaborwa, Transvaal, South Africa

Matrix covered on one side with small, colorless calcite crystals and numerous platy, translucent, dark green crystals of iowaite to 2 mm in length. Iowaite is a very rare magnesium iron species found only in Iowa, South Africa, Russia, and Australia. Though the crystals on this specimen are not large for the species (I have seen them up to 1.5 cm across), they are from the locality that yields what are considered to be the finest iowaite crystals in the world. Size: 2.8 x 2.8 x 5.2 cm.
