MA-1601 - Cyanotrichite
Quinlong Mine, Guizhou Province, China
Colorful flat-lying sprays of acicular, silky, bright sky blue cyanotrichite crystals mostly covering matrix. There are more crystals on the sides and bottom of the matrix, too. A very good example of this hydrated copper aluminum sulfate from a new find in 2003! Size: 3.7 x 7.3 x 3.5 cm.

 

MB-1813 - Dolomite with Siderite
Traversella, Piemont, Italy
Floater group of lustrous white dolomite crystals, to 5.4 cm on the diagonal, with minor tan-colored siderite in association. A fine classic Italian specimen, formerly in the Harvard University collection and comes with their label! Size: 6.5 x 4.9 x 2.9 cm.

South Africa
A choice cluster of translucent, lemon yellow ettringite crystals accented by minor black gaudefroyite. This is an excellent thumbnail specimen for the species! Size: 1.5 x 1.2 x 2.3 cm.

  

MA-1814 - Gaudefroyite on Garnet var. Andradite
N'Chwaning II Mine, Kalahari Manganese Fields, Kuruman, South Africa
Sharp, lustrous, terminated black gaudefroyite crystals to 6mm in length richly scattered over a matrix of crystalline red andradite. Nice miniature of this rare species. Size: 3.7 x 1.9 x 3.5 cm.

  

CB-1325 - Lazurite
Kokcha Valley, Badakhshan, Afghanistan (Type Locality)
A well formed, opaque, dodecahedral, deep blue lazurite crystal, measuring 2.0 x 2.2 cm, frozen in a white marble matrix. The crystal is well exposed. Lazurite crystals don't get much bigger very often. Displays perfectly! Size: 5.4 x 4.7 x 7.8 cm.
