Attractive specimen with lustrous, glassy, translucent to transparent
smoky brown quartz crystals to 3.2 cm long aesthetically perched
on sharp, tan-white orthoclase crystals to 1.5 cm long with a sparse

- Orange Quartz
Second Sovietskiy Mine, Dal'negorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Showy display-quality specimen featuring beautiful, slender, red-orange
quartz crystals to 3.0 cm in length on matrix. The crystals are
presumably colored by hematite inclusions but it is still unclear
exactly what causes the attractive red-orange color in the crystals.
These became instant classics when they came out about three years
ago and none have been seen since. One of my customers named this
specimen "the sea urchin" due to its uncanny likeness
to that marine animal. A very delicate piece that will need to be
hand-delivered to whoever purchases it. Size: 9.8 x 7.2 x 5.0 cm.
