A colorful and attractive specimen featuring two fans of glassy, bright yellow adamite crystals, the larger measuring 2 cm across, nicely perched on contrasting limonite matrix with several single adamite crystals scattered over the matrix as well. Ojuela Mine is THE locality for adamite but very few good ones are on the market now. Sits up perfectly for display! Size: 5.2 x 3.6 x 2.8 cm.

ES-00 - Antique Krantz Crystal Models

A set of six antique wooden crystal models made by Krantz of Bonn, Germany. Models have been selected to represent a mineral in each of the six crystal systems: isometric, tetragonal, orthorhombic, monoclinic, triclinic, and hexagonal. Each model is accompanied by a label with the name of the species it represents. Size: ranges from 4.0 cm to 7.3 cm long.

ES-18 - Babingtonite on Calcite
Lane Quarry, Westfield, Massachusetts

Glassy, translucent calcite serves as the matrix for a lustrous, doubly terminated, black babingtonite crystal 1.9 cm long. About half of the babingtonite crystal actually stands up off the matrix making for a nice three-dimensional piece. Very aesthetic example for this rare species from a classic locality that produced the world's best babingtonite crystals!

MB-1577 - Barrerite on Quartz
Rocky Pass, Kuiu Island, Alaska

Choice cluster of undamaged, lustrous white barrerite crystals to 3.0 cm covering a quartz matrix. Barrerite is the rarest member of the zeolite group and highly sought after by collectors. This is a good one! Size: 6.8 x 4.6 x 3.8 cm.

ES-107 - Barytocalcite
High Cross Vein, Brownley Hill Mine, Nenthead, Alston Moor, Cumbria, England

A very attractive specimen of this rare barium calcium carbonate composed of bladed, white crystals over 1 cm long piled up on a well-trimmed matrix. The Brownley Hill Mine had a series of 11 veins that were worked and produced several other rare species, including alstonite and witherite. Displays very well. A great classic not often seen on the mineral market! Comes with an Ernie Schlichter label. Size: 3.2 x 2.6 x 2.9 cm.

MB-1152 - Bornite
Flambeau Mine, Ladysmith, Rusk County, Wisconsin

Fine crystallized specimen of bornite from this classic locality better known for its chalcocite specimens. The bornite consists of cone-shaped, stacked crystals to 2.5 cm in length and exhibits classic peacock colors, predominantly blue and yellow. The mine is closed. Ex. F. John Barlow Collection and comes with his label. Size: 3.4 x 4.0 x 6.2 cm.

ES-123 - Bournonite, Quartz and Pyrite
Quiruvilca, La Libertad Department, Peru

Large, spectacular and rich combination specimen featuring brilliant crystal clusters of metallic steel-gray bournonite perched on attractive sprays of glassy, translucent quartz crystals and small but bright, lustrous, brassy pyritohedral pyrite crystals. Many of the bournonite crystals, which average 1.2 cm in length, are doubly terminated while some are twinned. A superb example from this well known Peruvian mining district and reasonably priced! Comes with an Ernie Schlichter label. Size: 16.1 x 10.5 x 3.0 cm.

ES-102 - Calcite with Hematite phantoms
Stank Mine, Cumbria, England

Eye-catching specimen of lustrous, glassy, colorless, transparent, prismatic calcite crystals to 2 cm long with vivid red hematite phantoms on a "skin" of red hematite. One crystal in front is cleaved but you don't really notice it and there is minor bruising on a couple of crystals, otherwise it is in very good condition. Good calcite specimens from this classic locality are difficult to come by these days. Size: 7.9 x 4.4 x 4.3 cm.

MC-1647 - Cassiterite
Merekski Ore District, Burea Massif, Khabarovskiy Kray, Russia

Superb cluster of lustrous, glassy, deep coffee-colored cassiterite crystals to 2 cm across resting on a mica schist matrix. The crystals are sharp, undamaged and exhibit some translucency under good lighting. This specimen was mined in 1998. A very fine cassiterite from the far eastern region of Russia! Size: 4.6 x 4.4 x 4.8 cm.
